This weekly session provides support and guidance for those seeking to strengthen the role of centering prayer in their lives.

u Taize Prayer
Third Fridays of each month, 7 to 8 p.m., No Charge. This hour of quiet, gentle communal prayer is simple enough that it requires no previous experience, yet so rich that people come every month. Come and pray for peace in God’s presence.

u Men's Contemplative Spirituality Group
The Fourth Monday of the month 7-9PM (call ahead)

This is a monthly ongoing support group for men seeking to integrate contemplative spirituality into their active lives.  No experience with contemplative prayer is necessary, but an openness to its possibilities.  Drop-ins are welcome.

This welcoming and community building group is intended for all those who wish to share the journey and learn from each other. The foundation of the group will be Centering Prayer, but you will not need to be doing the practice to join. We will share videos, discussions and a time of silence. u Men's Spirituality Group
A monthly Men's Spirituality Group meets at Faith United Methodist Church, 2703 33rd Ave. N, St. Anthony, MN on the Second Tuesday of each month. It includes a time of Centering Prayer, meditative reading, and personal sharing. The Rev. William Cox facilitates the group. Men of all ages and faiths and those who are simply interested in the spiritual dimension of life are invited.

u Intensive Centering Prayer Retreat
Friday, March 5, to Sunday, March 7, 2010
7:30 p.m. (Friday) to 1 p.m. (Sunday)

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of registration.

Experience a weekend of silence. This includes an opening presentation by the leader and several periods of Centering Prayer each day. Two one-half hour video segments by Thomas Keating, OCSO, followed by a short discussion, are optional. This retreat is designed for persons who have been practicing Centering Prayer regularly for three months or longer.

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of registration.

A silent retreat for those who have been practicing centering prayer for at least six months. Each day will have three one-hour sessions of centering prayer in 20- or 30-minute segments with a 5-minute contemplative walk between segments. Daily videotapes on the spiritual and psychological foundations of Christian contemplative prayer will be shown with time for questions, reflective comments and discussion following each viewing.

u Daily Centering Prayer
Gather Monday through Friday at the Spirituality Center for Centering Prayer from 4:25-4:50 PM. Anyone who has been practicing centering prayer is welcome.

Centering Prayer is a way of praying that invites us to let go of the busyness of our lives to "rest" in God. Learn the method of this traditional Christian prayer and its effects on our lives.
