Vincent Pizzuto From the Minnesota Contemplative Outreach 2021 Fall Retreat Peering Through the Slatted Fence: Gospels as Pointers to the Indwelling Christ Conference Three (Saturday afternoon, October 16, 2021) Cracking the Geode: Scripture in the Hands of a Contemplative Fr. Vincent Pizzuto From the Minnesota Contemplative Outreach 2021 Fall Retreat The term “Unloading of the Unconscious” refers to the process of inner healing and transformation that can take place as we practice Centering Prayer. In this video recorded on August 5th 2020, Mark Rodel and Jody Reis Johnson explore this oft-neglected topic with insight and sensitivity. Brian Mogren, the Director of St. Jane House in North Minneapolis, writes: I saw how MNCO was promoting the Healing Our City Virtual Prayer Tent and my heart leaped! Thank you for being partners with us in sharing about this powerful daily prayer opportunity. One of our St. Jane House prayer group members, Marcella Jones, came to us through last summer’s physical prayer tent. She has since immersed herself in Father Keating's writing and has now started a new centering prayer group whose membership is primarily black women. She is passionate about sharing contemplative prayer with more people of color. I would love for you to get to know one another better and see how MNCO could be supportive of her efforts. The following video is a lesson Marcella created for the women in her group. I share it with her blessing. You can see that she is a wonderful and very gifted teacher. |
