    We are prayerfully gathering for a time of fellowship, gratitude, and visioning.

    Our main business is to enter into conversation about our Minnesota Chapter:
    • How we've been blessed in recent years
    • How our volunteer service structure is changing
    • How we envision the future of the chapter

    Just by being a practitioner of Centering Prayer and experiencing the fruits of the practice, you are an important member of MN Contemplative Outreach.
    We are all custodians of this chapter.

    We lovingly request your presence at the All Chapter Gathering,
    to be part of how the Holy Spirit moves through and among us.

    Prior to our day of gathering, we invite you to prayerfully discern:
    • How has the chapter supported your practice?
    • How could the chapter serve you better?
    • How might you take a more active role in the chapter?
    • What personal gifts might you share as we change and grow?

    Contemplative Outreach Presenter Formation For Centering Prayer

    Sophia Center, Atchison, Kansas
    September 19 - 22, 2023

    Facilitated by Contemplative Outreach Presenter Formation Service Team 

    The vision of Contemplative Outreach states, “We embrace the process of transformation in Christ, both in ourselves and in others, through the practice of Centering Prayer.” Please join us for this spiritual retreat that offers CO’s first step of
    Formation Training that will enable you to become a commissioned presenter, as well as grow a deeper understanding and enrichment of the practice. Enrollment in this retreat requires an interview and application.

    Upon acceptance, registration and payment links will be emailed to applicants.
    Cost: $400
    Deposit: $100 at time of registration with balance paid by September 5.

     
    10 Day Silent Retreat
    Christ The King Retreat Center, Buffalo, MN
    June 18 - 27, 2024
    Facilitated by Contemplative Outreach of Colorado - Snowmass


    This will be a hybrid retreat, offering an intensive retreat (for those with at least 6 months of practice on board) and a post retreat (increased silence and solitude) simultaneously. Mass will be available daily.

    The cost of the retreat is $1500 which includes 3 nutritious meals a day (mostly vegetarian) and single accommodation.  Double accommodation rooms are available for slightly less cost.

    Labyrinth Walk and Contemplative Meditation

    First Saturday of each month (beginning March 4th)

    9:30 a.m. – Gathering, Coffee, Conversation
    10:00 a.m. – Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, Walking the Labyrinth

    Beginning March 4th, St Edward the Confessor Church in Wayzata will host a Labyrinth Walk and Contemplative Meditation on the first Saturday of each month. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and conversation. Those who wish may walk the labyrinth in the sanctuary. At 10 a.m. we will meet in the center of the labyrinth for Lectio Divina, followed by twenty minutes of Centering Prayer. At the conclusion, we will walk the labyrinth silently from the center back out to the gathering room for a second cup of coffee before embracing our Saturday. Contemplative Meditation is suitable for all faiths, and every seeker is welcome to walk with us on their spiritual journey.

    Benedictine Center of St. Paul's Monastery
    The community of sisters at the Benedictine Center of St. Paul's Monastery have long supported Centering Prayer in Minnesota. Through programs and prayer, they have created a most sacred space that invites us all to a deeper relationship with the Divine.

    All sessions take place at the Benedictine Center (map).

    Taize Prayer (Suspended during the pandemic)
    Third Fridays of each month, 7 to 8 p.m., no charge. This hour of quiet, simple, gentle communal prayer requires no previous experience, yet is so rich that people come every month. Come and pray for peace in God's presence.

    St. Scholastica Monastery Center for Spirituality and Enrichment

    The Center for Spirituality and Enrichment is a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica Monastery in Duluth, Minnesota. A variety of programs and retreats are offered throughout the year at both St. Scholastica Monastery and McCabe Renewal Center. Through them, opportunities are provided for spiritual growth, prayerful reflection and personal enrichment for all ages. The Center welcomes members of all faith traditions and human service organizations who promote the well-being and peace of all.

    Mondays, 6-6:30 p.m., Orientation/Introduction
    For those of you who are beginners in Christian Contemplation, we offer guidance and support each Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. prior to our regular practice at 6:30. No advance registration; goodwill offering is appreciated.
    Mondays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.  
    Silent prayer in a Christian setting. The format includes simple chanting and two 20-minute sits with a walking meditation between. Anyone with a silent meditative or contemplative practice is welcome.

    Free and open to the public, we sit together in the Oratory. The prayer begins with a simple chant, and we observe two 20-minute periods of silent prayer with a contemplative walk in between, concluding with a simple chant. If you are coming for the first time, we recommend you arrive ten minutes early so we can welcome you and introduce you to the practice and space.
