Contemplative Life Program Spring Sessions
Come journey deeper into centering prayer, discernment and forgiveness. Continuing from the Winter Session of the Contemplative Life Program, we are continuing with the topic Attention/Intention, then moving on to Active Prayer. We welcome those who participated this winter as well as any others who would like to join us for the new Spring Session. Diane Boruff and Carol Quest will continue as the facilitators.
The purpose of our coming together as a group to follow the Contemplative Life Series (published by Contemplative Outreach) is to support one another as we seek to deepen our practice of Centering Prayer and our engagement with the Spiritual Journey.
At each session, we begin with Centering Prayer, meet with a small group to discuss our own experience, and meet with the full group for an introduction to the new topic.
Spring Sessions:
Saturday April 23rd: Attention/Intention (booklet)
Discussion and reflection (continued from previous session), plus introduction to Active Prayer.
Saturday June 4th: New Topic! Active Prayer (booklet)
Session Details:
If you are interested in participating, please email Carol Quest at [email protected].
Participants will need these booklets from the Contemplative Life Series:
Attention/Intention
Active Prayer
You can purchase your booklet from Contemplative Outreach through the links above, or contact Carol Quest at [email protected] by April 10 to purchase ACTIVE PRAYER and split the shipping and handling costs. She will bring the booklets to the April 23 gathering.
At the Contemplative Outreach website, you can purchase the books separately (currently on sale), or you can purchase the complete series of seven booklets. Also, at the Contemplative Outreach website, you can choose an electronic version which is cheaper than the print version.
There is no cost to attend the gatherings of the Spring Sessions, but we will pass a basket for a free-will donation for Salem Lutheran Church who graciously offers us the space in which to gather.
